When no labels are being printed from the Zebra Label Printer after a barcode has been scanned, please check the following...
Check the Power
First, ensure that the printer is powered on, there should be a light emitted from the printer. If not, make sure the power supply is plugged into the wall and the printer is switched on from the back. If the Printer still doesn't power on, try a different power supply cable from another Zebra printer (if you have one).
Flashing Red Light
If there is a red flashing light on your printer -
> Open the printer lid and check there are enough labels in the printer
> Replace if necessary and close lid
> Then Press the green button once to re-align. The light should now be green and labels will print.
Check for Jammed Drug Label
Should the printer continue to flash red...
> Switch the printer off using the switch at the back of the printer (which can be found near the bottom)
> Check to see if there are no labels jammed on the roller by opening up the printer lid. If a label has been jammed, this must be removed.
> Should you have difficulty removing jammed labels, take off the rectangular plastic cover at the front of the printer (underneath the roller) carefully. This will give you easier access for removing the jammed label. Then replace the cover.
> Replenish blank labels, close the lid and send through a test label printout from Dispensit.
Ensure Printer is Online & Clear the print queue
If labels still haven't printed out at this point...
> On the bottom left hand corner of your screen Click on Start
> Then Printers and Faxes
> Then select the Printer 'ZebraTxt' the printer status should be "Ready". If it is "Offline", right click on the ZebraTxt printer and select from the options "Use Printer Online".
> At this point, there may be a list of unprinted labels in the ZebraTxt queue, right click on the printer again and click "Cancel All Documents" this will clear the queue.
